Willbanks girl to do tv movie?
My Mom just told me she heard on the local news (the only real news around I bother watching if I do any) that the runaway bride girl was confronted about doing a made for tv movie and she said "yes." According to my Mom the main reason she took the offer was because of all the money she owed for the wedding that didn't happen. Atlanta is angry at her as well. Oy. Runaway and become a movie star. As long as your a white girl.

1. she just sold the story to somebody--she won't be in it!
they'll get a look alike actress, if they can find anyone with eyes the size of tennisballs.

5. Yes, apparently she's signed a half million dollar contract for the
rights to her story. That's probably just for starters. Publicist says this is a great love and forgiveness story. Also, it's being reported in the NY Post (take that for what you will) that the Wilbanks family called ABC to say the Katie Couric was offering a specific amount of money for an exclusive, and they wanted to know what Diane was willing to offer. It was mentioned on TV tonight that the fiancee John Mason signed for $250,000.00 for his rights to any movie, etc. deal. I thought she just wanted to get treatment and lead a quiet, non-media life. Yikes!

7. Good grief
If it was such a forgiving story why did my local news report that Atlanta was pissed off? I would assume for all the time she took up of the police who could've been looking for someone who was REALLY missing.

6. Margot Kidder...
She was in the Superman Movies as Lois Lane, if thats whom you are refering too. This is such a joke, this woman should be in jail for making/wasting our police officers and other officials time. I can't believe her joke of a fiance still wants to marry this bag, but whatever. I won't be watching anything about this waste.

8. I think she should have something
Maybe community service and a little time in jail like Martha Stewart. If Stewart can go to jail for what she did why isn't she in jail? This is just nuts. And the guy still wants to marry her? Eh. Whatever.

9. A white woman who deliberately manipulated Southern fears of rape
of white women by dark-skinned males when she initally accused a Chicano man and his Anglo girlfriend of kidnapping and sexually asaulting her.

I'll bet that doesn't make it into the story--but what a lowdown POS.

11. I think you said it all. What a low down POS.
What more can you say? But it is the two of them, right. What a great movie this is going to be on Lifetime for Women. "Runaway Bride".

Damn.

12. Just saw a snippet of Jennifer's interview with Katie Couric on Today
Show. Jennifer said it came down to "life or death" that night because of stress and her being a perfectionist. I guess she forgot that we know she bought her bus ticket a full week before she went missing, so this doesn't sound like a spur of the moment thing. Katie said this interview will probably change our minds about Jennifer. Better be careful, it might make it worse now that Jen and John have been "shown the money".
