Have I been asleep since the beginning of the war in Iraq?
I have heard several claims by those in the MSM that there is nothing contained in the DSM that they (MSM) had not already said, it's just that now it's in writing.... I don't remember hearing anyone in the MSM accusing Shrub of lying to the American people... in fact what I recall is the MSM covering the he said/she said finger pointing contest between the Whitehouse and the CIA and the mad scramble by the those who voted to give the pResident the authority to kill claim that they were voting on bad info. I think I would have remembered the MSM accusing chim of lying and committing criminal acts.

So did I miss something?

1. They've borrowed a page from the criminal cabal in that they are saying
that they told us all this before, we just must be such assclowns that we weren't paying attention. And since they told us all this before, it is nothing but old news now, so don't keep bringing it up.

Lying bastards.

3. So I wasn't abducted by aliens...
and I didn't balck out for years?

I seriously feel like checking my navel for a "made in a labratory" tag when they mess with my reality like that.

7. No, unfortunately for us all, this is reality.
You should be so lucky to have slept through this obscene farce. We all should.

2. Some people have always said the evidence was manufactured.
Just because there is now evidence doesn't mean anything is new. I don't understand this either. Maybe we have both been asleep. Or else it is so confusing it must be true.

6. Yeah I know that some have speculated...
but always from the fringe and never with any lasting conviction. MSM is saying that we didn't cover the DSM because we already said that shrub made it all up... just because it's in writing now means it's not news??

Talk about confusion... do any of them know what journalism is? (Mr. Hersh excepted)

14. You got it. Just because there is proof of what we've been saying
doesn't mean anything is different. Proof? So what. exactly.

15. I pulled this off of another thread....
Scott McClellan today:

*************************************************************************************
Q Scott, on another topic, has the President or anyone else from the administration responded to the letter sent last month by Congressman John Conyers and signed by dozens of members of the House of Representatives, regarding the Downing Street memo? Has the President or anyone else responded?

McCLELLAN: Not that I'm aware of.

Q Why not?

McCLELLAN: Why not? Because I think that this is an individual who voted against the war in the first place and is simply trying to rehash old debates that have already been addressed. And our focus is not on the past. It's on the future and working to make sure we succeed in Iraq.

These matters have been addressed, Elaine. I think you know that very well. The press --

Q Scott, 88 members of Congress signed that letter.

McCLELLAN: The press -- the press have covered it, as well.

Q But, Scott, don't they deserve the courtesy of a response back?

McCLELLAN: Again, this has been addressed….

***

Q Scott, on John Conyers, John Conyers is walking here with that letter again, as you have acknowledged from Elaine's comment. But 88 leaders on Capitol Hill signed that letter. Now, I understand what you're saying about him, but what about the other 88 who signed this letter, wanting information, answers to these five questions?

McCLELLAN: How did they vote on the war -- the decision to go to war in Iraq?

Q Well, you have two -- well, if that's the case, you have two Republicans who are looking for a timetable. How do you justify that?

McCLELLAN: I already talked about that.

Q I understand, but let's talk about this.

McCLELLAN: Like I said --

Q Well, just because -- I understand -- but if you're talking about unifying and asking for everyone to come together, why not answer, whether they wanted the war or not, answer a letter where John Conyers wrote to the President and then 88 congressional leaders signed? Why not answer that?

McCLELLAN: For the reasons I stated earlier. This is simply rehashing old debates that have already been discussed.

5. That is the biggest crock of shit I have ever heard...
and if that is the best "spin" that these fuckers can come up with, they are in deep shit.

Basically they are saying everyone knew that shrubby lied, but since no one brought it up until now, it must not be important.

Even from these criminals that kind of "logic" is frightening.

9. Isn't it funny that all media outlets used the exact same excuse
at the exact same time. Makes one suspect there was a memo giving them their marching orders does it not.

10. it has been all said before. why do you think we all knew this shit
this difference being, even though we supposed bush lied we couldnt prove it. now with the paper all the things we knew, that made us say, bush knows,......we have proof and time to make a case

and they didnt report it a lot. a little here, a little there.

12. Well, okay...
But shouldn't the proof be the fucking scoop of the decade? The attitude I've encountered is "we already knew that".... but now they can prove it and they don't care. We have moved beyond speculation and suspicion and now have it in writiing and there is a collective yawn from the MSM!!!!
