Shepherd's Guide Yellow Pages: support only 'christian' businesses
this is advertised on one of Tulsa's RW radio stations

http://link.shepherdsguide.com/index.cfm?filesource=/client.cfm&fr_ID=tulsa&active=&show=yes

statement of faith (click on advertise)

Why is The Shepherd?s Guide unique? We are not just another yellow-page publication, but a Christian business directory that emphasizes trust as the central ethic of our publication. To ensure this high standard, all advertisers in The Shepherd?s Guide have the opportunity to sign the following Statement of Faith:

I have received Jesus Christ as my personal Savior, and my desire is to live my life for His Glory. I have been born again according to John 3:3 which states, ?...except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.? I pledge to hold the highest Biblical code of ethics in my transactions. It is my ambition to treat my clients with the utmost respect and integrity.

Our familiar shepherd logo appears at the bottom right corner of all ads in which the advertiser has signed this Statement of Faith. In this way, Christian families can rely on The Shepherd?s Guide to identify trustworthy businesses.

Call us at 918-493-7494.

this is Tulsa site, but they claim these are all over the country

2. to quote the late, great William Burroughs...
“If you’re ever doing business with a religious son of a bitch, get it in writing! His word ain’t worth shit, not with the good lord telling him how to fuck you on the deal.”

4. Oh, we've got a good one in Houston...
The commercial opens with a woman walking along the shore. The announcer says something to the effect that wouldn't it be nice if you had somebody to walk with you, through life's travails...or something like that, not exact quote...then, it says that fortunately when you need help, you can call on Christian Hill, and the lawyer is decending from the clouds, complete with wings and halo.

He has other ads without the ah...spiritual props, but he's apparently a lawyer who's going after injury cases. You know, if you'vebeen injured in....and you can fill in the blanks. My husband wouldn't believe me til he saw the ad.
