1. Actually a good idea
It never hurts to thank them. God knows he'll hear from the right wing.

7. Yes, as a life long Dave fan I will be sending him a letter
I can still remember the first episode I watched, I was 8 years old and my favorite show was Moonlighting. I saw that Bruce Willis was going to be on that night. It was summer so I could stay up. It was the first time Willis, who has been a friend of Letterman's since, was on the show. Musical guest TOM FREAKING WAITS!!!

I was too young to appreciate Tom Waits, even though he is a personal favorite now, but I immediately like David Letterman.

I've loved him ever since and he has never done me wrong.

Please write him a letter about how awesome he is, Dave deserves it. He does not deserve the bag of freeper garbage letters that he will definately be getting.

Please write him to counter the freeper BS.

Dave has always been on our side, back when GE bought NBC Dave made a point to deliver a fruit basket. The segment ended with a giant GE missle rolling across the stage. He made it known that he did not think that a company that makes weapons should ever own a company that is responsible for bringing us the news. I wonder if he shudders at how prophetic he was 20 years ago.

Send Dave some love, he deserves it.
