Do you think Cheney treats W like an underling?
I had this fantasy that * starts acting like he's really in charge and Cheney tells him to shut up or else. We know Cheney's in charge, so I wonder what their relationship must be really like. Maybe sort of like Kennedy was toward Johnson or worse.

5. Cheney works for several multi-national corps., and so does Bush
and most of Washington. When the attention shifts to those who are REALLY responsible for our policies then things might actually begin to change. There are NO parties to speak of.

6. Yes. With the resigned patience of a boss to his wife's idiot nephew.

Chimperor Codpiece is kept busy on a permanent campaign trail with controlled audiences to feed his pathological narcissism. His time at Casa Blanca is kept to a minimum, almost exclusively engaged in ceremonal "face time." The last thing staffers in the West Wing need or want is having him around to gum up the works. Long weekends at Crawford or Camp David are the private downtime when his enablers can, with pharmacological assist, stroke and feed his insatiable narcissism while drilling him with the latest one-liners.

7. I'm hoping some day he gets up on the high horse with the slippery saddle
And gets the smack-down. That split would cause a political earthquake I'd like to see. You know - when he gets on Cheney's last nerve. I just can't picture them getting along.

9. I think Cheney manipulates the idiot...plays him like a fiddle.
He lets him THINK he's in charge, throws out comments about what "could maybe be done" (which is what he WANTS done), lets the idiot chew on them for a day or week, the idiot then thinks it's HIS idea and gives the order that Cheney wanted all along. That's how I see it.

I go back to the decision to invade Iraq. That had been thrown out by Cheney and Wolfowitz at meetings. Then, one day, out of the blue, the idiot says, "I've made the decision to attack Iraq." Like it was all HIS bright idea. Manipulated.
