THIS WAS A GOOD DAY
Edited on Fri Jun-17-05 02:07 AM by WilliamPitt
I am too goddam exhausted to write about what I saw and experienced today. That's tomorrow. But those of you who are annoyed, sad, upset that this didn't peel the world back, I say deep breaths. This was a beginning. A good one.

Tell me this doesn't resonate:

This was a good day, a beginning, one of many to come. Be strong, dig in.

4. Absolutely.
My visits to non-partisan boards have been very telling. On one, the best the Neocons can do is to have a 'Politics Free Friday.'

It IS happening!

6. Thank you for being there Will
But I have one question.
Is there ANY way to break through the partisanship and lockstep of the Right?
Or will we need to?
What you all did today was amazing--I applaud you.
But then when you top it off with Sensenbrenner being given a free pass to abuse Dems--it just takes away the hope that the DSM brought.
Sleep tight.

9. 'The Right' you speak of
is a small minority. They can be marginalized and defeated. It is already happening.

7. Yes, this was a good day. For those that want Rome built in a day,
well, it wasn't. The masses are not moved quickly, but a shift is beginning to occur. One event is not the answer. We must keep up the pressure.

8. I haven't been following this as closely as I should be doing.
Is the above picture at the WH gate, where Rep. Conyers tried to present all those signatures to the WH, and was initially rebuffed?

After last year's "elections", I've sorta psyched myself into deep pessimism, but I'm now beginning to take hope.

10. Answer the questions Bush......
I see people flying the coup and crashing their cars and I don't see answers....

Answer the question over 122 Congressmen, and 1 million people have asked you.....

What is at all the matter? Are you simply not capable of answering some questions? What are you afraid of?

14. Get some rest, Will
It was a GREAT day today!

Thanks for all your hard work.

Always remember - it took 2 years for the Watergate story to unfold. Rejoice at what happened on Thursday, keep working, see every step as progress and keep your patience. It's happening. After these many months/years, some truth is FINALLY being told.

15. Thank you, and thank you to Rep. Conyers for FINALLY giving us a voice...
What a brave man to do what he is doing - without true patriots like Rep. Conyers, I don't know what I'd do with the grief over losing my friend in Iraq. The only thing that keeps me going is the hope that someday, we will clearly and resoundingly expose the lies that have cost our country so dearly.

A big thank you to all involved. I pray this will be the breakthrough we so desperately need.
