Those PNAC assholes must have some HUGE fucking egos...
I have been thinking about this for the past couple of days...

These dickheads got together, and basically planned to take over America and use the Constitution to wipe their asses with.

I can imagine their meetings:

"Hmmm...let's see...we need to take over this country so how are we going to do this? We need to, first, get our people elected and get some schmo to run for President -- someone we can push around and tell what to do. Work on that, people. Also, we need to ensure our people get elected -- Scooter, why don't you see if you can get those Diebold guys on board. We have to control the media so the rest of the country doesn't know what we are up to. After this is all in place, we will need an endless supply of oil -- I think Iraq can take care of that...we just need a reason to invade them. Oh well, I'm sure we can think of a reason later. Now, how do we get things rolling? We need another Pearl Harbor or something...Dick, see what you can do on that end would you?"

These guys are beyone arrogant...this is like something out of a "B" movie. I wouldn't believe it if I was not a witness to it.

The other thing is, they just assumed that they would never get caught! Amazing...

1. No the amazing thing is they don't see that they were wrong
they are so disconnected from reality they think we can continue to be the "only superpower" and have "military dominance" by pursuing endless wars - so they try to rhetoric up new conflicts - without recognizing that we can't afford them (deficits) that they are destroying the military that the require (how do you have military dominance with a broken and weak military) and that the public is now (finally) growing cynical and is unlikely to blindly follow them anywhere else.

But they still don't get it. They still really believe that they are winning - that theres are policies to pursue - their complete disconnect from reality is the very thing that scares the heck out of me. They don't seem to recognize any boundaries served by reality - as in real constraints. Left unfettered by such constraints - they really could destroy us (as in US)

22. They also lack numbers
Put together the fact that most Americans aren't emotionally dead and won't continue to put their kids into war, plus the fact that they'll only suffer so much financially, plus the fact that there is only so much non-freedom they'll take (we're renegades, afterall) and, poof, their theory goes up in smoke.

They're just like the Communists. They have a plan, but they don't factor in the human component.

7. They are essentially trying to reproduce Israeli policies on a larger
scale. With Israel, there is always Uncle Sam to bail them out, day in and day out. Where do we go when we go bankrupt?

25. I don't think they do.
I suspect that they keep giving us credit:

NOT because they expect to be paid back;

But, rather, so they can eventually FORECLOSE on our economy when we default.
They, as creditors, will have "first dibs" on our economy at pennies on the dollar.
(crappy analogy, but you see what i'm getting at)

34. Spot on. Hutchinson Wampoa Li Kai Shing
Here is an example. Google the above and you will be amazed.
Li Kai Shing links to Chaing Kai Shek and the Green Gang of Taiwan according to a book Lords of the Rim.
http://www.globalcrossing.com/xml/news/2000/january/12.xml
Wampoa bought Global Crossing after they went belly up in a scandal
One concern was the deal gave him access to Pacific Cable communications which has National Security implications.
His company also has their feet in the door with the Panama Canal (a maintenance contract) hence they can easily monitor all traffic through it.

Excerpt from link follows:
HUTCHISON WHAMPOA AND GLOBAL CROSSING COMPLETE TELECOM JOINT VENTURE IN HONG KONG

* 50/50 joint venture combines Hutchison Whampoa's existing fiber optic telecommunications network and certain Internet-related assets in Hong Kong with Global Crossing's international cable capacity and growing inventory of web hosting, Internet applications and data services.
* Hutchison gains technological expertise and global connectivity.
* Global Crossing gains entry into attractive markets in Hong Kong and, when regulations permit the Greater China region.
* Partnership expands Hutchison's existing network, the largest fully fiber-optic network in Hong Kong, as the cornerstone of the planned China Crossing.

Hong Kong - January 12, 2000 - Hutchison Whampoa Limited and Global Crossing Ltd. announced today that they have completed formation of Hutchison Global Crossing, a 50/50 joint venture to pursue fixed-line telecommunications and Internet opportunities in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, China.

The 50/50 joint venture combines Hutchison Whampoa's existing territory-wide, building-to-building fixed-line fiber optic telecommunications network and certain Internet-related assets in Hong Kong with Global Crossing's international fiber optic broadband cable capacity and growing inventory of web hosting, Internet applications and data services. For its 50% share, Global Crossing has provided to Hutchison Whampoa US$400 million (HK$3,108 million) in Global Crossing convertible preferred stock. Additionally, Global Crossing has committed to contribute to the joint venture international telecommunications capacity rights on its global fiber optic network and global data center related capabilities which together are valued at US$350 million (HK$2,720 million), as well as US$50 million (HK$389 million) in cash. In aggregate, Global Crossing's investment values the joint venture enterprise at US$1.2 billion (HK$9.3 billion).

33. I don't think they do either; however, this may be an under-the-table way
of paying us back for sending pretty much all of our industrialized jobs to their people, naming them the "Most Favored Nation" for trade, and who knows what else has been promised to them.

Everything this POTUS does, he does behind closed doors.

Plus, isn't the Saudi Government giving us loans as well.

I find it amazing that everyone defaults on thei loans to us; however, no one gives us a break

4. These guys make the Nazis look like novices at the war games.
The ones I cannot stand are:

Bill Kristol with his knowing smirks.
Richard Perle, an utterly contemptible warmonger who could not serve his country in Vietnam and wants to send your children and mine to fight in Iraq. I would be very interested to know if these people have any children between 18 and 25 who are in Iraq serving in the armed forces.Somehow I doubt it.

James Woolsey, the bugeyed dracula, who says we are in World War IV.

And,of course, there a cast of thousands, including some in the Press, who are the most detestable creatures on God's green earth.

Now I can go get my morning coffee.

'That's not the way the world really works anymore,' he continued. 'We're an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you're studying that reality -- judiciously, as you will -- we'll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that's how things will sort out. We're history's actors . . . and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do.'"

14. The idea is NOT to take over the country.
They already HAVE CONTROL of the country. The idea is to TAKE OVER THE WORLD. To discredit ALL international lawmaking and peacekeeping bodies as corrupt and ineffective while making it possible to establish bases in key countries from which to safeguard Imperial America's interests abroad.

They keep control of domestic issues by impoverishment, propaganda and fear-mongering, by the steady erosion of personal and religious freedoms and by encouraging "right - thinking" through a steady diet of right-wing programming and police tactics.

Abroad, the USA encourages censure for industrialized nations like France and Germany, and "regime change" for nations (Iraq, Iran, Syria, Bolivia, Columbia, etc.) with strategic importance but without the strategic defenses required to adequately defend themselves from US campaigns of disinformation, corruption of national industries (to aid in privatization), RW terrorist funding and the creation of national instability.

PNAC is ALL ABOUT GLOBAL HEGEMONY.

32. So Why do you think the European Union (EU) is so eager
To get all of Europe to agree on the same Constitution? None of those countries alone could "militarily" compare to the U.S. and they know it. So if they could all get to an agreement (so far the people have voted "NO" -- phew), but they will eventually agree and will pool everything together. Talk about a Super Power. A whole continent?? Those countries standing alone cannot compare to the U.S. firepower. However, if they all join together, the U.S. would not be the super power of the World anymore.

All of this because of an arrogant, little man who has alienated the World against us by lieing, not only to the World, but to the American People over and over. He will never admit a mistake or that he or anyone in his administration is wrong. He never succeeded at anything in his pitiful life. His daddy has always bailed him out of anything that could be damaging to him and/or the family.

Here we sit worrying about the middle east. Europe continues to try to convince the smaller countries to join the EU. They may just do it all under the radar.

20. It's about power and control
They have a certain vision of the world and what it ought to be. Under their stringent guidelines they knew they would have to bring some strange bedfellows in order to make it happen.

It was well orchestrated and thought out. They knew if they brought in the christian right that it would give them the fervent devotion needed to see it through no matter what.

They got in with the mega-corps which included corporate media that would spread their message to bring more sheeple into the tent.

You gotta admit it was pure genius on their part.

The only thing they haven't realized yet is that nothing lasts forever. History's taught us that.

...what would have happened if Iraq hadn't turned out to be such a debacle. Instead, these psychopaths/sociopaths have been stopped in their tracks for now. Does anyone doubt that if Iraq had gone smoothly these PNAC kooks would have invaded Iran and Syria by now?

Or, rather, I should say they would have directed the military to invade, because of course the PNACers themselves stay safely 1000s of miles away ensconced in their "think" tanks and cushy foundations.

21. They want to control the world through military might.
If you read their manual "Rebuilding America's Defenses, Strategy, Forces and Resources For a New Century", it's all about military force. They don't seem to have any other alternate plans for achieving their ultimate goal of a Pax Americana and globalization.

Another DUer, Veggie Meathead, posted this back in August of last year. He doesn't seem to be posting in the last few months so I hope he doesn't mind if I repost it. It's about Leo Strauss, their mentor and guru.

Leo Strauss who used to be Wolfowitz's teacher at the University of Chicago is credited with developing many of the ideas that the PNAC gangsters are using to shape American policy in the Middle East and elsewhere. Here are a few nuggets of his wisdom.

1) Democracy is not a very efficient or even a good political system.

2) The system that should supercede American style democracy is one in which the elite rule and the masses follow.

3) The elite are entitled to rule because they understand that life is a constant struggle and only the fittest and most intelligent can survive. The masses on the other hand want to waste their time on amusements, families and their daily grinds and are happy doing so. To give them political power through a real democracy as in America wold amount to national suicide.

4) The elite should control the masses through the use of 'The Noble Lie'. All lies uttered by the elite to extract obedience from the masses are 'Noble Lies'.

There is more but you get the general idea. That this man is venerated by the likes of Rumsfeld, Cheney and Wolfowitz along with their PNAC cronies Kristol, Kagan and Perle is a story in and of itself. Now do we understand where the constant stream of lies come from? And why the Supreme Court handed over power to a worthless fratboy.

Also, Strauss was admired by Augusto Pinnochet of Chile.
