10. Did I miss the part where the Democrats have taken control of the.... |
|
...voting machines? When did that happen? Or are you one of the folks who continue to believe that we still have honest elctions in the US?
Based on the fact that the GOP controls the voting machines, I wouldn't count on any changes being made in 2006, or any other election year.
The changes are going to have to be made in the political process as more Republican politicians abandon their fuhrer.

Until there is a Democratic majority in the House and Senate, there is no chance of passing impeachment.

if you think getting the word "impeach" into the collective unconscious is worthless then you have a weak understanding of how reality works.

Are you seriously saying that you can get a large number of Republicans to defy their leadership in both the senate and the White House to vote for impeachment? In what reality is that even a possibility? There's no precedent for it or anything remotely like it anywhere in our country's history. Give me one reason why a bunch of republicans would end their careers over this. It doesn't make any sense.

15. I guess you missed the part where Republican politicians are.... |
|
...beginning to abandon the NeoCon Junta and publicly state their opposition to the fiasco in Iraq. How many additional GOP politicians feel the same way but have yet to speak out?
How many more will be needed to create a critical mass in favor of a full-blown impeachment and trial of the NeoCon Fuhrer? We'll know soon enough. My guess is that the DSM has sparked a real sea-change in the way that Republicans are viewing Herr Busch and the the fiasco in Iraq.

Not before 2007 anyway. We have a Republican congress that will not allow this to happen.

14. But we can still work at it as if impeachment will happen tomorrow. |
|
Pound away at the truth, kick, scream, protest, whatever it takes until the tide of public opinion turns. We're up against not only a Repug controlled congress, but a complicit media and a blind, deaf, and blissfully ignorant public. But if we work this like we should, the way the 1700+ dead deserve us to, we can turn up the heat enough that even some Repugs will support impeachment hearings in order to save their political ass in '06. If they don't, they'll be looking for a job come Jan '07.
We might have to wait till '07; but we don't give up. We might fail in taking back the House or Senate (we've screwed it up too many times before to dismiss that possibility!); but we don't give up. Hell, they might even manage to scare the sheeple into letting them change the Constitution (not using it anyway!) to allow Shrub a life-time appointment to the office; but we don't... on second thought I will give up and move to Canada on that one. But my point is that truth is on our side, the house of cards WILL crumble and fall someday, and how soon that happens will be determined by how diligent and persistent we are.
Get out the popcorn AND the work-boots!

I knew some of them would start to abandon the sinking ship. Hang in there folks, it won't be much longer.
And don't worry, the naysayers will believe it when they see it.

You most definitely can't beat city hall, but...wait for it ... you can apply enough pressure to get the real bastards scared enough to step down.
