Right-wing in full attack mode over Durbin's comments

The right-wing has gone beserk over Senator Durbin's comments. Right-wing nutjob Michelle Malkin has a post called THE TREACHEROUS DICK DURBIN detailing other right-wingers comments on Durbin, and is encouraging all to air their displeasure of Durbin's comments to his staffers. So we gotta counter these wingnuts and call and THANK Durbin for his truth telling:

During a speech Tuesday, the Senate's No. 2 Democrat quoted from an FBI agent's report describing detainees at the Naval base in Guantanamo Bay as being chained to the floor without food or water in extreme temperatures.

"If I read this to you and did not tell you that it was an FBI agent describing what Americans had done to prisoners in their control, you would most certainly believe this must have been done by Nazis, Soviets in their gulags, or some mad regime -- Pol Pot or others -- that had no concern for human beings," Durbin said.

I called the DC number and got a busy signal but I got through to the other number.

I told the person who answered the phone that I supported Durbin, but that I thought Durbin might want to take the tack that Wesley Clark took yesterday when he said that this administration has a policy issue. The U.S. needs to make it clear exactly what its policy is on people held at Guantonomo Bay.
