Apparently his office is getting inundated with Freeper calls regarding is spot on comments on the conditions at Gitmo. We need to counter this...so start calling and emailing. I have already done both!!!

spoke with a very nice lady who said she'd definitely let Durbin know I called in support. She almost seemed relieved I didn't yell at her.

So yes - contact Senator Durbin. He needs it.

Although I am not a direct constituent I am honored to be represented in Washington by a man willing to state the truth despite the opposition's reluctance to hear it.

"If I read this to you and did not tell you that it was an FBI agent describing what Americans had done to prisoners in their control, you would most certainly believe this must have been done by Nazis, Soviets in their gulags, or some mad regime -- Pol Pot or others -- that had no concern for human beings,"

In pointing out the atrocities at Camp Xray, you have highlighted my concerns with respect to every action the Bush administration has taken. Their policies are dismissive of the U.S. Constitution and clearly demonstrate their inability to view human beings as worthy of compassion. The contempt with which they hold their enemies, foreign and domestic alike is highly disturbing.
