Bush will not respond to the Conyers letter and petititon unless
the noise about it becomes unstoppable.

Can you think of any other President who would have the gall and arrogance to ignore 1 quarter of the house and 560,000 signatures?

1. He would ignore it if it was 5.6 million
and not just 560,000...

he lives in a bubble, remember.

3. You're right. In fact, now that I think of it, I realize that
he'll never yield. Never. If things become unbearable, he or people on his behalf will simply stage another terror attack. I have a feeling they have a radiological or perhaps chemical event on hold. It's not like they give a damn about killing people, or causing pain or grief or ruined lives.

6. Maybe, but I don't think they can go to the well again ...
and get away with it.

Too many people now realize the truth...besides, if there is another attack of that magnitude on US soil, their image of protecting us against terrorism will be destroyed...they will lose wither way.

Unless things get really bad, I don't believe this is now an option for them...Iraq saw to that.

8. but he resigned eventually
I honestly can't see Bush resigning. He'd lock himself in the White House and pout.

7. Then let's make more noise!
What if all 560,000+ of us send individual letters via U.S. mail to the White House? (Hey, it worked for the Santa Claus thing in Miracle on 34th Street!). And another 560,000 letters to each of the major news organizations. And repeat once per week!
