Here are 123 Great Americans: The 123 representatives supporting Conyers
The original list came from Raw Story but only had last names. In fact there are a few names I'm not sure which representative it is (and my website is running slow)

If your representative is on this list, please go to the house link I've included and call/write a thank you note. If your representative ISN't on the list then demand action (well, unless your representative happens to be Delay, Hassert, Blount, an asshole, etc).

Mine is Mike Castle, a moderate republican who happens to be showing his moderate side again (he was co-sponser of the Stem Cell research legislation that the fundies hate). I'll start working on him in hopes he'll get on board and take a few moderates with him.

1. This morning when I looked at the list my congressman was not
on it. I called his office. Perhaps hearing from your peeps does help move them along.

2. I'm guessing Lewis is John Lewis of Georgia
Conyers said some one other than Democrats signed. I wonder if he just meant Bernie Sanders.

3. The heroic 123!!!!
This is great! More and more Democrats are joining in. Maybe a few moderate Republicans will jump on board.

6. After posting the first response - see #1 - I called Congressman
Price's office to confirm that he has indeed signed on to the Conyer's letter. The young man on the phone did not know what the Conyer's letter was and said that he would take a note and get back to me with a response to my concerns. I told him this was a thank you call not a complaint - he seemed confused by the concept.

Then he indicated he was an intern and only interns were in the office right now. I admit that I smiled when he said intern because for the duration of my life intern will mean Monica. Anyway, while we were talking a staff member came in and said that Price had just signed on today. My point is - do write, fax, email, phone your representatives - they are listening. Also, remember your manners and thank your congressman for doing the right thing - even though that is why we sent them there to begin with.

9. And Lloyd Doggett
Love 'em both.

Doggett was my rep until Delay redrew the lines the second time. Now some guy in Houston whose name I've not bothered to learn is officially my rep. But Doggett is, in reality.
