Have you heard about this? |
|
Many may already know, many certainly don't! Wesley Clark has joined 'fAUX' news team. I was personally shocked, and I might add, a bit disgusted. Anyone else have an opinion on this?

1. It is good to see a liberal on the show. Let's see how he plays it |
|
If he speaks the truth and does not back down like Combs, he might just be ok. Clark would not take a position if he could not be in command of it, I look forward to seeing him rebuke some of the Faux claims....

2. A decent Dem voice for the fuzznuts to hear AND he gets paid by |
|
Fox? Sounds like a good deal. I don't watch Faux so I won't see/hear him but I don't NEED TO HEAR a voice of reason like the freetards do.

3. Yes, it was posted this am on DU. |

Like you, I was disappointed. I don't and won't watch faux 'news', so I'll just have to rely on someone telling me all about it and I'm sure there will be plenty on the right that will be crowin' about it. I'll hold my judgment on Wesley for now, but I'll be watching and listening very closely to his views hence forth!

I at first was disappointed but I don't think he's gone to the "dark side" or anything like that. It should be interesting. I've read reports in the GD politics thread that some moderate republicans respect and like Clark so maybe he can reach out to people in time for 2006 and maybe even for 2008. It'll be interesting to see how long he lasts on there. It's my understanding he was on CNN but didn't last too long (a couple months I think).

predates is run for political office, he developed a style for speaking during the primary run.
If I remember correctly, the CNN stint was as a military expert, not politics.
He spoke eloquently against Bernard Kerrick at an Ohio CNN-Paul-Zahn town hall style event just before the election.
He can hold his own now.
+ the hosts at faux news are frothing in anger over what the dems are doing, they need someone to fill the air waves.

6. Don't you think it's better that all of those RWs start to hear the.... |
|
...truth from a guy who's been there and done that? Don't you think that a guy with his military experience carries a great deal of credibility with RWs who have been brainwashed to believe that all liberals are pansies?
Or are you trying to imply that Clark is going to give up on everything he's believed in for his entire adult life?

7. I like the financial implications.... |
|
It would be super cool if Clarke were contributing his salary (hence Murdoch's cash) to say, oh, I don't know, pick a Liberal cause or Democratic Party fund.
I wouldn't even have a problem with Clarke putting the money in his own pocket if it's eventually going to fund his campaign.
Another way to look at it is that at least the money is not going to a fundie who would donate it to Jeb Bush's presidential election bid.

8. I dunno. Look what happened to Greta Van Susteren. |
|
I used to like her show on CNN. When she left to go to FOX, her show deteriorated into tabloid BS. I remember Clark on CNN. All he did was explain the military to civilians like me. He left CNN I believe to run for President. I guess him taking a new job means he doesn't intend on running again. I wish him well and I hope he stays true to his principles.
