Will Bush change his views on the death penalty . . . . . .
. . . once he and his cronies are ultimately found guilty of war crimes at the Hague? Will Bush undergo yet another '11th hour' conversion? Can't wait to see him do another rendition (but this time not in jest) of his Carla Faye Tucker: "Please don't kill me! Please don't kill me!" Squeaky voice and all.

1. Probably
Remember he is the only governor who has sooooo many death penalties in the history of this country as a whole. That's quite disgusting. 150. :puke:

2. Bush won't stand trial if he isn't arrested or pardoned in the US
As long as Bush stays on US soil, he shouldn't have to worry about being arrested for war crimes or crimes against humanity, especially if the next US president pardons him like Nixon.

6. crimes
Given the periodic recurrence of Watergate-style tricks, I don't know if future presidents (dem or rep) will be willing to pardon Bush. There will be more of a feeling that we need to nip it in the bud this time.

Although Nixon should have been held accountable for (at the very least) carpet-bombing Laos and Cambodia on a long-term basis without either congressional/international authorization/knowledge, the world community was not then as much in concert against people who disrupt the peace. This time, however the ecological/financial/human tolls are just too great. And all for a war which was elective and deliberate, in which the perpetrator was not in the slightest threatened by or in danger of the victim.

3. death penalty
Wouldn't it be ironic if a politician (who took such pride in authorizing executions) ends up on the wrong end of the lethal injection needle?
