Oil prices surge to all-time high
Crude oil prices surged to a record high above $58 a barrel on Friday, sustaining a rally built on strong demand for gasoline and diesel and on concerns about refiners’ ability to keep up.

“This is a pivotal point we’re at now,” said oil analyst John Kilduff of Fimat USA in New York. “We’re one hiccup away from $60.”

1. $60 is a foregone conclusion at this point.
I think a more accurate quote would be "one hiccup away from $80". :(

6. It is just the beginning
$100 is just around the corner. The trend is toward ever higher prices, increasing demand and static or decreasing supply.

3. As the U.S. economy zooms downward
and Bush-Co., doing nothing to develop alternative energy sources, sends bull-in-a-china-closet Bolton to the UN.
