Ayman al-Zawahri told viewers in a
videotape broadcast Friday that no
reform could take place under occupation
by "crusaders."

CAIRO, Egypt - Al-Qaida’s No. 2 leader released a new video, broadcast on Al-Jazeera television Friday, in which he disparaged the U.S. concept of reform in the Middle East and said armed jihad is the only way to bring change in the Arab world.

Is it a signal to militants?
On at least seven occasions in the past six years, a statement by al-Zawahri has been followed by a significant al-Qaida attack within three weeks, an NBC News analysis of the statements show. In four cases, the attacks came within a week.

U.S. officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, say that while they cannot conclusively link all the attacks to the statements, they say the statements have to be taken seriously because of an apparent pattern.

I ACTUALLY heard the lady that co-hosts with Ronnie Regan say she couldn't help but feel like something "sinister" was involved!

BOOGA BOOGA!

Faux News says its because of terrorists, but Loo Dobbs is saying its because of the Mexicans.

5. Of course, there's an important number missing.
"On at least seven occasions in the past six years, a statement by al-Zawahri has been followed by a significant al-Qaida attack within three weeks, an NBC News analysis of the statements show. In four cases, the attacks came within a week."

If he's issued 7 statements in the last 6 years, the implication is grim.

If he's issued 7k statements in the last 6 years, eh.

I also have this vague impression that at least one of the attacks was some bombing in Iraq, more attributed to than claimed by "the Base". The bombing of the UN?
