Rep. Jones (R) to call for DSM Investigation |
|
I don't have a link but got an Email in my inbox with this message. I was wondering if anybody knew about this:
<U.S. Representative Walter Jones (R-NC) is seen in his office on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. June 15, 2005. Jones will co-sponsor legislation about calling for the truth regarding the Downing Street Memo and reasons how the U.S. got involved in Iraq. Reuters/Mannie Garcia Wed Jun 15, 3:37 PM ET >

1. If that's true, I would very much admire him and his courage for doing so. |

I didn't see a link with the Email so I don't know if the source is crediable. It came from an anti-Bush mailing list.

5. Staffers voted Mr. Jones the "nicest member of Congress." |
|
If he goes through with this, he will have earned his title.

7. If this is true, we are looking at a "profile in courage." |
|
It is brave for a Republican to take on his party. Even if the tide is turning, they prize loyalty and Jones is sticking his neck out.
I wish him well.
(If he is the "Freedom Fries" guy, he has to make amends.)

8. Growing to like this man |
|
Edited on Sat Jun-18-05 04:27 AM by Lecky
I saw him being interviewed on CNN last night and was moved by how passionate this man has become to do the right thing. When answering questions he appeared to be really upset as well as frightened. I'm sure there are people just giving him hell over this. He mentioned that there were many other republican reps who felt the same way.
I don't know what it was...but the look in his eyes just broke my heart.

9. Anyone have more information on this? |
|
Can everybody write to him and see if this is true, that he is indeed going to investigate or not?
I can start if people can post his contact information.
