You people who I was a dick to last week when I really went overboard.

Wanted to call you out and offer an apology.

We can have our disagreements here as well as our differences of opinions. But the one thing I think *I* need to keep in mind: We all have one thing in common: Saving our country from the terrible direction that it has been steered by the current administration.

Sorry for my behavior last week, I guess I lost sight of the bigger picture. I love you all, even the ones of you that make my eyes spin backwards in my skull!

Have wondered where you were--have missed the taser stuff. I've missed you. So we all get upset and feel mean at times. I have to slap my fingers sometimes to keep from typing something I know I will regret.

you had to come into my department.I do Charge in ICU every other Friday night. My patients don't complain as most are on ventilators...:scared:

My main job....well, they get excellent attention. I service a city community population that, when they have sought health care, it has been from the free clinic the majority of their life. They are all in crisis mode either actual or perceived. Most don't even know their medication, just that they had treatment "a while back" for say diabetes, epilepsy, schizophrenia and hypertension.

Many are pregnant with multiple strains of STD's, are addicted to alcohol, heroin or crack. I have them in renal failure on dialysis, lots with Hep B, Hep C, and/or HIV. That's just off the top of my head......all with neglected care prior to my attention. I get them back on track....all of them. A large population have terrible teeth with abcesses if they have any teeth left. Talk about lesions, I see at least 4 or 5 boils a day from staph infections and then there is the vein abcess and cellulitis from IV drug use.

They seriously neglect all of Maslow's needs, are non compliant, and abuse their bodies to where they are physically aged beyond their years. They are frequently in social,emotional and physical crisis.....and attempt to project that stress, that anger, that rage onto whoever is closest and who they can get away with trying to vent or dump it on....

I'm talking about managing 1,200 on a given day, census fluctuates constantly......150 new ones daily who come and go on the most part or stay around 2-3 weeks, some much, much longer.
