Watching this young, Neocon intern on Wash. Journal breaks my heart
I really applaud those of you who can tolerate the other side's distorted message day in and day out.

1. What will she do when the impeachment begins.... will she be
able to deal with the truth... or will she still be dwelling on that President from Arkansas??? Talk about brainwashed... pity.

6. Youth is wasted on the Young
Unless, of course, the heritage foundation has planted a chip in her brain.

2. And she's wearing the obligatory pearls...
I always think it's a sad thing when a young person espouses conservative views. I think it goes against nature, y'know?

3. Yea, did you hear her say that Democrats are coddling the people
on SS disability? I wanted to call in to tell her to stop drinking the Kool-aid. She kept up saying how she views herself as conservative that has the same views as the heritage foundation. Poor misguided child.

5. Wanna Bet She's On A Scholarship???
Be assured the Hemorage Foundation picks only the best to put on their wholly-owned network: C-SPAN. She was probably coached all day yesterday with the buzzwords and talking points (not as though she hasn't been drilled with them most of her life) so the responses were almost pavlovian. I swear there were some answers I don't think she knew what she was talking about...had that amused look of "gee did I say that" on her face.

Kudos to the young lady from PAW. The contrast was, pardon the pun, black and white. Her passion came across...I just hope she doesn't lose that enthusiasm.

13. wholly-owned network?
Is this something you actually know or are you just cracking wise? If this is true, I, for one, would like to know about it.

16. Close Enough
Pardon...shoulda :sarcasm:

But I'm not far from the truth. Brian Lamb is a well-known conservative who has had extensive relationships with the AEI and Hemmorage Foundation since the start. Some of C-SPAN's start up money came from those organizations.

The other "owners" of C-SPAN are the cable companies...actually just the big ones...Time/Warner, AT&T, Comcast, Adelphia. Without them Brian is selling shoes and these companies are contributors to these "think tanks". Shall we say it's just the seperation by degrees.

Also I think it's Steve Scully who is on the board of the Washington News editors assn. The group that "sanctioned" Jeff Gannon to run around the White House. One morning he hosted a "discussion" on this topic with someone else from the associaton and it was one big whitewash.

I post you decide.

Cheers!

4. You mean Buffy in her strand of Barbara Bush beginner pearls?
I had to quit watching when she stated that democrats just want to baby people, or some shit close to that.

She had just been talking about her wonderful dorm room, and how she wanted for nothing, blah, blah, blah. I guess it never dawns on her and those like her that she's talking that hard line crap when she has mommy and daddy's money to fall back on and that as an intern she's living better than a lot of people. I know a bunch of these spoiled rotten types.

18. Yes, the summer internship
What rich college students do in the summer instead of flipping burgers.

It's been pointed out that the unpaid summer internship (usually in an expensive city like Washington or New York) at an affluent institution or company is a class-based barrier to social advancement.

When I was a grad student at Yale, I used to see ads for unpaid summer interns at Wall Street brokerage firms, well-known magazines, and philanthropic foundations, none of which, of course, could afford to pay a student to work there for three months. Or at least they knew that if they did pay their interns, then (gasp!) students without the right family connections would apply.

14. I heard you. Good call!
That sort of remark always sets them back on their heels because their positions, political and personal, are in such dischord that even if they PREPARE for the thrust, it still rocks them.

Good job.

No one can be that cult-like on their own. American Enterprise Bot.
Everyone should help themselves - she sure helped herself to a big pitcher of Koolaid.
I feel so sorry for her.

17. NeoCON girl is an example of the Bankers who misplaced(?) $8.8 Billion
This administration gave kids just like her, the job of bankers in Iraq and the distrubtion of billions of Amercan taxpayers dollars.

These kids had just recently graduated college, with no previous experience in finance/banking, etc., yet this Administration felt the responsiblity of paying-off their debt to the wealthy Ranger donors.....nepotism.

The result $8.8 Billion unaccounted for and as no one was actually given the position of CEO/Supervisor for these funds or these group of children who thought they were playing MONOPOLY, no one has been held accountable or punished for this loss.

Meanwhile The Troops still go without.

19. I'm sure kids like her will be the scapegoats
But I have no doubt that Dubby and the gang that can't shoot straight knows much more about where the 9 Billski ended up.
We won't ask though - nothing to see here - Move along- the war is going superb.

15. She was just pathetic...
I did like when she started ranting that America needs to stop worrying about other countries' problems and put America first, then the caller right after that asks then why we are in Iraq to bring them "democracy" if that's the case..."Well, that's different..." Just pathetic!

The woman from People for the American Way, OTOH, was awesome. Props to her!
