2 years ago:

US casualties May 03...37
US casualties June 03..30

Fast forward to now.

US casualties May 05...88
US casualties June 05..55, and that's just in the last 18 days

And, I think I can cobble together the WH response to these horrific numbers...

The small handful of insurgents (who are mostly from other countries, since the Iraqi's support us) are desperate and realize that Freedom is on the March and we are making progress, but it's hard work.

2. But W is taking the good news from Iraq on the road .....
.... in more of his spontaneous "town meetings." I hope some real
Americans get a chance to talk to him.

He is a punk!

4. Don't hold your breath...
I read that they have to IMPORT people to these pep rallies because they can't GIVE enough tickets away to the locals (sympathetic locals, anyway, the ONLY kind they let in the same room with the Boy King) to fill the seats.

"Real Americans" can't get within shouting distance of "Mr. Beautiful Mind"...

5. sfexpat2000, you have a way with words...your metaphorical enhancement
of the simplistic statements that blare out from our government halls is brilliant.

Can I borrow it? MKJ
