Bush's Exit Strategy
Edited on Sat Jun-18-05 10:08 AM by ck4829
"There is more at work in these attacks than blind rage. The terrorists have a strategic goal. They want us to leave Iraq before our work is done."
**. September 7, 2003
http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2003/09/20030907-1.html

"These groups believe they have found an opportunity to harm America, to shake our resolve in the war on terror, and to cause us to leave Iraq before freedom is fully established."
**. July 1, 2003

"Once security conditions improve and the Iraqis are able to secure their nation, then Coalition forces will be able to leave Iraq."
Condi. June 1, 2004

"Their goal is to get us to leave before Iraqis have had a chance to show the region what a government that is elected and truly accountable to its citizens can do for its people."

Notice how the reason keeps changing?

First, it's to establish democracy.

Then, it's to make sure it's established.

Then, it's to secure the nation.

Now, it's to look good to the rest of the world.

What next?

3. Ding ding ding. When we leave Iraq, they will destroy the wells.
And the US is the one partner with the most amount of troops out there.

5. While Bin Laden and everyone else goes off on a honeymoon.
That was the sad disgusting PNAC plan all along which brings the whole thing crashing. Now let's just expose every part, and bring them crawling on their knees to the jail.

2. Bush's exit strategy is the same one he has always had
create the biggest mess possible - extract all the wealth or power one can while in place.. then leave (this case when his term expires) and let others clean up after him.

4. As badly as the Iraqi people have been victimized
Most of the wealth and power has been extracted from the American people. The war was the means to effect this.

7. That's what they call pillaging. Bush is a barbarian in the
truest sense. He and his cohorts are "sacking the planet".

6. HIs exit strategy comes to fruition in 2008
when he leaves for some cushy figurehead job at Hilliburton or Exxon. Then the next poor dumba$$ gets blamed for screwing up Iraq.

9. Secure the oilfields, secure the pipelines. Play for time
Too bad by '06 this will cost R's much of their House majority...maybe even cost them their majority. If the war is still raging by the '06 House elections it will hinge on R's support for the war.

I thought the Saudis were supposed to be lowering the price of oil 'bout now, huh ? Bush sure got sandbagged on that one.

10. Remember to force this vote through the most important one....
http://www.commoncause.org

The vote by Rush Holt mandating the VVPB and open audits, for FULL election reform and must be passed. (And let's make sure DeLay gets fired, the slither slug)
