I'm off to build houses with Jimmy Carter!!!

I'll be out of pocket for the next week, because I'll be participating in the Habitat for Humanity Jimmy Carter Work Project in Benton Harbor, MI. If any southwest Michigan DUers happen to be around, or if any of you will be there, I'm scheduled to work on house #17. Just ask for the DUer from Tennessee!

Trust me you're going to meet some awesome people as you do so! It was a pleasant surprise to me to fnd that there were just as many Republicans as there were Greens, Democrats and Independents. I really enjoy working with these guys and feel so humbled when I hear of their heartfelt contributions to society.

Tell him that Kim from Athens, GA loves him and supports all of his and the Carter Center's efforts to make the world a better place!

I love him and Rosalyn so much. History will redeem his record as president. The repubs try to tear him down but they can't. I am a Georgian and I am so proud of him! He is a true Christian!

BTW, I've worked on Habitat homes in my town. The American Society of Landscape Architects local chapter voluntereed to landscape the homes! We had plants, trees, soil ammendments and labor donated to make the homes beautiful! Most importantly, we planted shade trees! I drive past one of the homes sevral times a year and am always amazed at how good the landscape looks and how happy the family is!

Our local chapter has a fund drive going on and it was a pleasure to drop some dough into the box. When we get a project going, I, too, plan on participating.
