I'll bet that made her day. As long as we're invading countries to liberate them from tyrany, when do we go into Burma?

2. No, don't really think we should invade Burma, but if you take
his rationale to it's logical conclusion, they should be be on his list.

4. Yup, and should have been ahead of Iraq since Burma *had* a democracy
in place already before the military takeover. The neocon "flowers at our feet" fantasy might have come true there.

3. Kinda like J.W. Boothe sending a Get Well card to Lincoln.
Next will be an "Enjoy Your Trip" to the cannon fodder he's sending to Iraq.

5. Chances that Bush really knew who Aung San Suu Kyi is?
50-50 at best, I'd say.

6. who Aung San Suu Kyi is?
90 pounds of twisted steel and sex appeal. You've had a tough life lady, may you and your people someday be free. Happy Birthday

7. Chances that he can pronounce her name: 10,000 to 1.
Chances that he has the slightest conception of what she stands for: 1,000,000 to 1.

Conservative estimates.

8. It's routine diplomacy ...
... no need to read more into it.
