Ah, sookie, sookie now -- British bombing raids in Iraq were illegal
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,2087-1660300,00.html

British bombing raids were illegal, says Foreign Office
Michael Smith
A SHARP increase in British and American bombing raids on Iraq in the run-up to war “to put pressure on the regime” was illegal under international law, according to leaked Foreign Office legal advice.

The advice was first provided to senior ministers in March 2002. Two months later RAF and USAF jets began “spikes of activity” designed to goad Saddam Hussein into retaliating and giving the allies a pretext for war.

The Foreign Office advice shows military action to pressurise the regime was “not consistent with” UN law, despite American claims that it was.

The decision to provoke the Iraqis emerged in leaked minutes of a meeting between Tony Blair and his most senior advisers — the so-called Downing Street memo published by The Sunday Times shortly before the general election.

got all hot over Durbin's remarks. Didn't the propagandists for the Nazi regime get put on trial, too? Kinsley says they all knew about the lies.

7. Geez... if only Saddam had ordered his legions of jet fighters,
cruise missiles, tomahawks, smartbombs and so forth to rain down upon us... we would have had yet another reason to invade and occupy their country. Crap, maybe we can get Iran to do it.

10. This is UNREAL
I'm on the Yahoo discussion board on this story, and there are no conservatives.

I can't believe it. They have slumped off somewhere.

Any other conversation, they'd be out in force trying to divert attention.

11. what about ours?
We redoubled the bombing weeks before we declared war just trying to get Saddam , to try something. Then we declared the war over, and won. George Bush, ran for office, on the ticket that he'd just won a war and was keeping America safe for Democracy...ooops Iraq safe for Democracy.... Anyway, he landed on that aircraft carrier, all decked out in his flight suit, declared the war won.....and got to run on that...beautiful photo op, too....what propaganda...what lies...what $#!%
