Was Dana Milbank drunk when he wrote the article about the DSM hearing?
Or was he having a nervous-freak-out-breakdown?

1. Just too smug for his own good
Edited on Sun Jun-19-05 01:08 AM by DefenseLawyer
When he wrote it he thought the world was still buying Karl's "old news" spin and he was more concerned with looking like an insider than in actually covering the substance of the story. Either that or he was drunk.

7. He's a member of the "Club"
These guys all go to the same clubs. The know all the same people. There's a groupthink going on here that says to the rest of us "we know more than you do so frankly your opinions don't count"

Some may have divergent views on some issues and I'm sure Mr. Milbank has had his days when he's disagreed with the administration on something but for the most part he won't do anything to risk his membership in the "club".

They also know that they screwed up bigtime and this war they helped get us into is going to hell in a handbasket, the peasants are pissed as hell, and now the "insiders" are circling the wagons desperately prattling on about it being "old news".

3. Well, he clearly wasn't at either the hearing or the rally-his article was
not describing the events that I saw take place that day!

What an asshole...I couldn't believe my eyes when I read that story on Friday...I picked up a copy of the WP and when I didn't see anything on the front page and then started going through the pages only to see on page 6 the only reference in the WP, with this article from Dana Milbank. It was the most obnoxious, dishonest distortion of the events one could imagine. He painted the event as a joke, insulted Conyers and the other Democratic members of congress, didn't describe for the reader even what the Downing Street Memos are, made the DSM's sound irrelevant, painted the event as impeachment efforts and anti-semitic. He described the people at the rally as being radical left wingers...didn't even bother to describe mom's like me with my baby or the many Mother's holding pictures of their dead children in the War in Iraq...hardly "radicals"...

Like I said, he wasn't there...and it was the worst yellow journalism I've ever seen...

was ordered to say by the government. :sarcasm:

6. No. He was doing what he was told to do, which was to
do whatever possible to squelch the DSM meeting. (Bush, Kerry and Milbank are skull and boners)

9. No, but Rove was red-eye basted

Dana just did a cut&paste, scratched his tiny Johnson, finished his Martini, belched, and surfed the net for kiddie porn while he waited for Gannon to climb through his bedroom window for an intimate "press conference".

Since when does Milbank actually do anything remotely similar to journalism.
