SEATTLE -- A White Center woman who was arrested in Sacramento in her daughter's slaying may have been influenced by a cult, family members told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News.
Samara Spann, 30, faces a charge of first-degree murder in the death of her 6-year-old daughter.
Members of her family said that she may have been involved in "cult-like, voodoo-type activities," KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reported. Sheriff's office investigators said the involvement in a cult may have played a role in the case.

Mother used drugs during pregnancy...Child pays the price. Sad, and far too frequent and predictable in a society that minimizes child social services/child welfare. Republicans absolutely adore fetuses but once the baby's born-Hey, it's your problem.
