C-Span - Gitmo hearing from Wednesday - Leahy chews ass

Patrick Leahy is chewing the ass of Brig Gen. Thomas Heminway, a Rear Admiral and a few others at the Gitmo hearing on Wednesday.

All of their answers is "that is beyond the scope of my responsibilities." Leahy yelled then whose scope is it? From the Sec of Defense on down it is out of everyone's scope. I want to know who can give me that answer!) (paraphrasing but you get the gist).

"We are restrained from moving forward with the combatants, four have been charged, but as long as war goes on we can hold as long as conflict endures." (paraphrasing again).

Damn, another must see TV hearing.

1. I thought that they worked for us. They seem to feel that the population

owes them. Personally, if they don't want to pay for abortions or the poor, I don't want to pay for the military. I really don't think that the terrorists give a damn about a school teacher in Minnesota.

On the other hand, if I were a CEO of a Fortune 500 company, I wouldn't be walking around in downtown Baghdad.
