mislead? MISLEAD? he fucking LIED us into a war!
and continues to this day, unabated.

the word 'mislead' just doesn't explain what he did, and it softens the impact of what actually happened.

was america mislead into a war? let's drop the fancy double talk and at least be truthful TO OURSELVES. he lied us into war. he is a war criminal.

i was never mislead, not for a minute. certain war supporters and bush supporters can always say that they too were mislead, but i won't believe them.

2. lied?
Edited on Sun Jun-19-05 10:53 AM by GreenArrow
Of course he/they lied. Not even good lies either, but big whopping unmistakable transparent ones, lies told with INTENT to PURPOSEFULLY MISLEAD.

"Misled" implies "Mis"take and there was no mistake about this, they did it on purpose.

That is their greatest fear.Paraphrasing Pogo, "We have met the terrorists and they are us"

5. A phrase comes to mind from the field of Psychology.........
"A suspicion of being wrong, in the maladjusted, leads to a conviction that they are right , and they will defend it to its death."

Operative word: MALADJUSTED, as is the Pissadent.

Aggression. What can you expect from the facilitators of U.S. dominance?

9. I don't recall the repukes ever saying that
Clinton "mislead" people about Monica. It was always "He lied. He needs to be impeached."

The BFEE lies about the reasons for starting an unnecessary war that kills thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, and all we hear is "We may have been mislead...."

And this comes from Dems as well as repukes and media whores. Why the reluctance to call a lie, a lie?

19. He lied to CONGRESS; that's the real point.
The very statement that he'd sincerely use diplomatic means is one of the biggest whoppers of all time. That he terrorized our representatives behind closed doors with deliberately overblown "evidence" and hid everything to the contrary. Had there not been a nuclear possibility, he never could have gotten the IWR passed even using the fear of the time and the impending election as he did.

He lied to get Congress to give up its right to declare war, and he even wanted full carte blanche to attack anyone he pleased; it was only Democrats who inserted language to restrict the war powers ONLY to actions against Iraq.

No, you weren't misled, and I remember reading your consistent postings at the time. I wasn't either, and you probably remember the same; not for a second did I think that we wouldn't launch an unprovoked military assault on a sovereign nation, and much as it's hard to contemplate such things, we only have to think of Panama and Grenada to know what ugliness contemporary conservatives have in their hearts.

Lying is bad. Lying to one's people is bad. Lying to Congress is illegal and an attempt to breach the terms of the Constitution.

We HAVE to force the verifiability of voting. It is the greatest danger to mankind today. All else is mere nuisance. If the House can be taken in '06, we shouldn't start impeachment hearings, we should call this vicious little nobody to testify, and get him on the record. This is the ugliest bit of foreign policy ever followed through by this country, and that's a damning statement when stacked up against the Mexican War, the Spanish-American War, the last century in Central America, Iran in 1953 and a host of other greedy forays.

May Junior live for 60 more years with what's left of his faculties intact; a narcissistic and petty bully needs to see his humiliation.
