Does anyone know who the female press corps reporter was
who questioned that weenie McClellan about the DSM this last Friday? And he said something about its being "old news" and "we are looking forward," and "you should know that, <her name>"

and essentially dismissed her. I admired her persistence. She interrupted his rehearsed BS rhetoric a couple of times.

1. April
and I think she's from Reuters or AP. Don't know her last name though.

I'll look on google to see if I can find it.

2. Before you lionize her...
I want to tell you that she is also the reporter that asked "How is your faith holding up, mr. president" around the time he started his illegal war. Anyway, it is "April" something, I believe.

4. I wasn't necessarily going to "lionize" her-- just wanted to know
who she was and find out more about her.

15. I'm sorry, I did not mean to sound...
harsh. I just wanted people to know how she lobbed a ridiculous question at that monkey, as our country was on the eve of war, and helped buttress the lie of him being a good Christian.

6. I don't look down on folks for changing their opinion of Bush
In fact, I encourage it. Obviously she has changed her mind, and good for her.

14. It is not about "changing" one's mind...
she may very well have hated the idiot, when she asked that question. The point is, it was a ridiculous question to ask that bastard, as he was preparing to plunge multiple countries into war. I wish she had asked, "How is your faith in the intelligence that says Iraq has WMD, despite the fact that the inspectors have yet to find any, and also, how do you feel that the weapons inspectors have stated that they feel like they are being given the runaround, by being sent on "wild goose chases" by American intelligence?"
Those are just 2 of the stories that were reported, prior to the war. Why did our media fail to ask those questions?

16. I agree with you, but any help we can get NOW means more to me
than how they softballed him back then.

8. here is the WH websit--with the press conf.

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2005/06/20050616-5.html

April.

Q Scott, on John Conyers, John Conyers is walking here with that letter again, as you have acknowledged from Elaine's comment. But 88 leaders on Capitol Hill signed that letter. Now, I understand what you're saying about him, but what about the other 88 who signed this letter, wanting information, answers to these five questions?

MR. McCLELLAN: How did they vote on the war -- the decision to go to war in Iraq?

Q Well, you have two -- well, if that's the case, you have two Republicans who are looking for a timetable. How do you justify that?

MR. McCLELLAN: I already talked about that.

Q I understand, but let's talk about this.

MR. McCLELLAN: Like I said --

Q Well, just because -- I understand -- but wait a minute, that's not -- if leaders from Congress -- if you're talking about unifying and asking for everyone to come together, why not answer, whether they wanted the war or not, answer a letter where John Conyers wrote to the President and then 88 congressional leaders signed? Why not answer that?

MR. McCLELLAN: For the reasons I stated earlier. This is simply rehashing old debates that have already been discussed.

12. Haha- wait- that's not the name at the end of their propaganda spots,
is it?

You know, those pro-Bush Administration "news" segments they send out to have local news play?
