3. I refuse to get used to it. |
|
When you let yourself get used to it then you accept a lot of things rather than fighting them. You accept the fact that this is just the way it is when, in reality, the government could be working on alternative fuels and more energy saving vehicles, tax incentives for buying hybrids, etc, etc.....When you get used to it you become complicit and part of the problem rather than trying to become the answer.

11. I eat peanut butter on a whole wheat English every day. |
|
I really enjoy it though. But it is due to having a shortage of food money that it is a daily thing.

$1.99/gallon.
The next day it was $2.14. I'm usually so bad at buying gas.

I pay $3.75, but I have the satisfaction of knowing there is no war because of what's going into my tank. That's priceless.

9. No, it is still cutting drastically into my food budget. |
|
I can't afford to get glasses and an eye exam I need. I can't afford the other maintenance my car needs, tune-up, oil change, brakes.

I wish there were some gas prices I could get excited about. As it is we've curbed most of our traveling. We just can't afford it anymore.
