Speaking of Clinton, I bought his "My Life" on CD and he's the reader
of his book and he does a fantastic job.

I've had to do some travelling recently and it's like having him in the car with me telling me his life story.

I got my copy at half.com for a reasonable price.

2. He has a very gentle,
homey way of speaking. I can imagine it would be pleasant to listen to.

3. In the beginning of the book, he reads
(paraphrasing) "I'm not nearly as good as my biggest supporters think I am, and not nearly as bad as my biggest detractors think I am."

He does have a gentle and wise voice and a self-deprecating kind of humor that puts the listener at ease.

4. In addition to being charismatic,
which the man clearly is, Clinton is also supposedly undeniably intelligent and well-spoken. Friends of mine saw him speak at Drew University (alas, I was in another state at the time) and said he was both compelling and brilliant.

8. Agreed
I saw him speak at Robert Morris University many years ago. It's something I'm going to tell my kids about :)

5. His voice doesn't keep telling you to steer to the right, does it?
It is a possibility...

6. He has a wonderful, intelligent voice
and his childhood and early adulthood were very interesting. Lots of stuff that I didn't know about him and his early family life.

He's very open and honest about family--his mother, grandparents, uncles, and his relationship with his stepfather, Roger Clinton.

10. I think it's a total of

.
6 CDs that are 1 hour long each.

On the jacket of the audiobook it says "President Clinton's audiobook is also the most concretely detailed, most nuanced account of a presidency ever written--encompassing not only the high points and crises but the way the presidency actually works."

The first 2 CDs just flew by.
