The bogus strike on the Mexican newspaper, Noticias got me thinking... |
|
What if we organized a nationwide strike, with picketers at every PBS and NPR office. Schedule it to take place on the same day across the country. The strikers could focus their signs on Freedom of the Press and Freedom of Speech. This may be a welcome show of support to embattled PBS employees who are experiencing the death of the public airwaves. Make it festive and attractive to families by featuring Bert & Ernie but also include lots of anti corporate/anti war visuals. It would be a fun July 4th party, celebrating the freedoms we are so hated for...

¡Vamos hacer una huelga para el Fourth!
I have pondered this too. The Fourth of July would be a perfect day for a nationwide strike. The holiday is so close that Bushler&Co cannot prepare for it now, they way they could have if we had been planning this for months. If we can spontaneously drum up support and get the word out over the next week, I bet we can have the largest protest in American history. :)

3. I will email PDA and MoveOn... |
|
...but hopefully an angel with good connections could spread the word. Should we keep this kicked for a day to see the level of response? After all, this is a family value issue. Bu$h spares no expense in getting our kids locked and loaded but wants to terminate all funding for the likes of Sesame Street, Frontline and Nova. Does anybody else see this as insane policy. Goddammit, this will make Amurikans even more stupid than they are now. Which is, it seems, their evil intent. They are trying to steal our Mojo!!!

4. NBC costs you 18 times PBS: grocery is where you pay for ads on NBC |

few know you pay for NBC and the like.
threadbare PBS programs cost eighteen times less than the lavish shows on NBC, ABC, CBS. Lavish,... plus NBC wants hi profits for itself, so that profit markup is added onto the price for ads on NBC.
Ads cost companies a ton. All the money for ads comes from higher prices on soap, cereal, OTC pills at the grocer. And new car prices, too.
You pay eighteen times as much for the NBC programs than for PBS programs.
Ax NBC if you voters want to save some money for yourself at the grocery. Dont let GOP tell you the way to save money is axing PBS. The big drain on you is really NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX.
18 times bigger, each one.
