I watched the beginning of the Discovery Channel Top 5 last night |
|
and was immediately disgusted to see Ann Coulter and Dennis Miller as two of the guest commentators..... was this to assure that Clinton would not make it.... anyway I turned the channel with in the first 5 seconds of Coulter opening her mouth, will I be OK or will there be lasting, latent side effects???

1. Coulter and Miller? Well, this just confirms a lot of my suspicions I have |
|
about the Hitler Channel and it's viewers.
I watch Discovery Science quite a bit. But the rest of it I tend to just ignore. Between the glorification of the military in Iraq and the weaponry we've developed, and the continual reruns about the Nazi regime, it has very little to offer.

8. Touche...And Ouch...LOL |

The Hitler Channel? I thought that was the "Military Channel", which I know Discovery owns. But then the History Channel has that fascist drill instructor on all the time...I can't hit the remote fast enough.
The Times/Discovery Channel held promise...but now is just another commercial for the military-industrial complex.
I find myself watching more and more of History International these days...at least I can get away from the right wing revisionism.
Cheers

3. Discovery Channel picks Coulter and Miller? |
|
Glad I don't have cable, and if I ever get it again I will remove Dicovery channel from the lineup. Their program directors must be pure unadulterated idiotic scum to put those two Fascists on there.
Why would Discovery Channel put on a female who has said people like me should die at worst, who has said people like me ( female) should not vote at best? Are they trying to alienate every Democrat who ever watched their channel? Are they fools? Must be.
Dicovery Channel: you suck elephant dicks....

4. I think that neither Clinton nor Reagan belong in the top 5. |
|
My Top 5:
Martin Luther King, Jr. Thomas Edison Thomas Jefferson Benjamin Franklin Dwight Eisenhower or FDR
While we're at it, can we please get Andrew Jackson's punk ass off the $20 bill? And Grant off the $50?

9. Well, I can think of at least ten better Americans to put on the bills. |
|
No, not in favor of Reagan on any currency...but I think we shouldn't limit the currency to presidents, who in the grand scheme of life don't generally affect us all that much.

Alexander Hamilton, 1st Secretary of the Treasury - $10 Benjamin Franklin, Statesman - $100 Salmon Chase, Treasury Secretary under Lincoln - $10,000 (no longer in circulation)
From the Bureau of Printing and Engraving: "Treasury Department records do not reveal the reason that portraits of these particular statesmen were chosen in preference to those of other persons of equal importance and prominence."

11. I turned the channel when I saw Miller and Coulter up there. |

I'll be damned if I'm going to have Ann Coulter be the judge of who the "Greatest American" is. This coming from a woman who thinks that Canada fought along side us in Vietnam, and that The United States declaired war on Germany in WWII. I can't believe that that Discover Channel would team such a stellar History Buff as Coulter with Dennis Miller (Mr. Pander to whatever Poilitcal party who will give me my own show) and Randy for "American Idol" to be judges - these people are barely qualified to be contestants on "Battle of the Network Stars" let alone choose who the Greatest American is. If Ann Coulter had her way, Joe McCarthy would have his face on Mt. Rushmore, and Ronald Regan would be a Saint by now. It's very clear that they had a right wing agenda... and to see Bush and Reagan nominated over FDR is an INSULT.
