3. Porter Goss likely can't find his ass... |
|
... with both hands. I don't give him any credit for knowing how to capture bin Laden. (This is not to say that bin Laden's former CIA handlers don't have a pretty good idea, but that doesn't mean Goss can get him.)

6. new jersey. that's where many of his family live |
|
wish i had that photo of the bin laden family standing on the street in the 70's, with osama and his cousins and brothers and sisters and aunts and uncles. he's probably in new jersey, shaven, suited, and comfy. my crackpot theory anyway.

Given the veracity of the Bush regime and its penchant for playing politics with national security, we should be advised not to take anything Mr. Goss says at face value.
If he really had an idea where Osama was yesterday, he's probably not there today.
No real intelligence professional or law enforcement officer would say such a thing. If one is looking for a fugitive in hiding, one doesn't advertise what is known about his whereabouts. That is just common sense.
The most likely explanation is that Mr. Goss' remarks were propaganda for domestic consumption. He probably has no more idea where Osama is now or was last week than Rumsfeld had of where Saddam's biochemical weapons were located.

That is where he went first from Tora Bora. After reading this thread, I now think that Saudi Arabia or New Jersey are good choices.
Maybe he and his inbred family have started a commune somewhere. Damn Hippy Bin Ladens! :hippie:

17. Sure they do. They have the same "excellent idea" ... |
|
... they have had since they lost bin Laden in Afghanistan.
Goss is trying political judo here in attempting to turn the Bush failure to capture bin Laden into a reason to support Bush. Goss says we won't catch bin Laden until we get rid of the "weak links" in the war on terror.
So, someone should ask Goss, "You mean you know where OBL is and there are, um, 'weak links' or something that keep you from flying in there and grabbing him?"
Sure, Porter.
