I must start by saying that you are my #1 Patriot and #1 Hero!!:patriot:


The Civil Rights Movement was so powerful and so heart wrenching because it was bringing the TRUTH to POWER. It gave a voice to a WRONG that had to be addressed.

I vividly recall the Marches. It was the MESSAGE and the MARCHERS that kept us all riveted to our television sets.

There was also a not so secret ingredient - the CELEBRITIES!

Dr. King understood that he had to get the attention of the media and he used many BRAVE celebrities, that risked their lives and careers, for a historical cause. Celebrities like Ray Charles, Sammy Davis Jr, Harry Belafonte showed how much they cared about the issue and this country.

We need to do that again!

Next time, bring ALI up to the gates of the WH!

Yes, see if the Dixie Chicks,Brad and Angelina, Aretha, Chris Rock,Will Smith and Jada will walk that walk with you!

but never did see any coverage of the delivering of the petitions to the WH. Were there a lot of people there? Did he deliver them directly to bush? Info, please!

10. I know how you feel

I want to bring every mother and father of all the soldiers killed in Iraq to the Hearings.

But, I have heard the media "attempt" to say that my hero Conyers is an anti war activist.

There are many anti war activist, me included, that are ready to get out there and carry signs but IMO, the DSM is about a subset of the overall message regarding this stupid war.

The message of the DSM is more about "the lead up to war" by The neocons and Blair.
