It's been a while since i actually put together a longer-form flash - I was actually nervous that I'd lose the thread or otherwise muck it up.

It's just that song is so freakin' good. Greg Graffin is a genius.

I only gave it one listen but I think the song is basically about how the poor are getting screwed by the rich twice: once by being deprived of a means to make a decent living and again by having, basically, no better way out than to sign up to kill somebody, somewhere.

By focusing the visual content on the war itself the effect is to criticize the war on the inhumanity and senselessness of it; to tie in a bit more with the idea of U.S. poor being sent to kill would make the song and the visuals synch up better.

Now, I used to listen to BR around the "Suffer" days and so basically am a fan of their older music. I have trouble rocking out and looking at photos of dead and maimed babies, however.

So, I guess that is a "great job!" and two points of criticism.

I don't know if anyone knows this but Takebackthemedia.com sprang from a flash "duel" between Stranger and I when we hardly knew each other.. we kept trying to one up each other and finally decided to join forces..

I like to think that he and I basically Invented the Political Flash scene on the web.. at the least we were in the running.. we've done a LOT of these babies for FREE.

Because we love you, if we slept with you we'd not just give you our number and have you find out that it's "Dial-a-Prayer" :)

I've finally realised that we have been on the right track all along at TBTM.COM, this is a PR WAR folks.. if you make them look BAD then they will back down a notch, they don't let the media show people in the streets, so we took it to the internet..

This one is posted at Buzzflash as well, and rightly so..

Well, back to the editing scene - almost all edited (the Conyers Hearing/Rally and Interviews), now it will take me 6 hours to input it to tape, then 6 hours to generate a DVD (two of them) - so that's 12 hours just to create two "master" DVDs that I will begin replicating immediately after - luckily that it doesn't take real time to replicate so I'll be making and sending stacks of DVDS by tomorrow..

Sorry, I'm off by a day, came home to a sick 5 month old baby, so I was multi-tasking :)

The Bad Religion song was just too good to pass up - I opened the last TBTM Radio show with it (when Sym's out globe-trotting, I take the opportunity to play some good radical music - this one turned into a 90-minute show, which you can download to your iPod) and I couldn't get it out of my head. So while Sym was editing the DSM DVD, I figured I'd make myself useful and put a new flash together.

Can't wait for your next one - but I've got another germ of an idea brewing over here as well. And we'll be doing another episode of TBTM Radio this week, too.

(There may be some cool news on the radio front - we're working on something...)
