Iraq is a sovereign nation. Where's the respect for Iraq?

Goss Claims He Has Idea Where Bin Laden Is

By Associated Press
Published June 20, 2005, 11:45 AM CDT

NEW YORK -- The director of the CIA says he has an "excellent idea" where Osama bin Laden is hiding, but that the United States' respect for sovereign nations makes it more difficult to capture the al-Qaida chief.

In an interview with Time for the magazine's June 27 issue, Porter Goss was asked about the progress of the hunt for bin Laden.

"When you go to the question of dealing with sanctuaries in sovereign states, you're dealing with a problem of our sense of international obligation, fair play," Goss said. "We have to find a way to work in a conventional world in unconventional ways."

(I again interject: You lying hypocrites! You don't know and you don't care.)

Asked whether that meant he knew where bin Laden is, Goss responded: "I have an excellent idea where he is. What's the next question?"

1. That statement was tragic
comedy. This US administration has absolutely no respect for sovereignty anywhere on the planet.

4. The only skill this administration has is lying
They are easy and comfortable liars.

It's sad that the media reports the lies as "news" and amazing how eagerly Americans gobble it up.

3. There are limits to what you can do in soverign nations
You may not go into a sovereign nation after mass murderers who have successfully attacked the United States.

You may only go in to a sovereign nation if the purpose is to install an entirely new government. The lack of a real threat from that nation does not have any bearing on this.

I'm sure this is in the Neocon manual somewhere.

7. As long as that sovereign nation isn't Afghanistan.
Remember, that was the reason we went there in the first place - not even mentioning Iraq.

If you are not with us, you are with the terrorists and we are gonna treat you like a terrorist and get our man. No nation is safe. . .what happened to that bucket of puke from the president?

So many things wrong with that I don't even know where to begin.

Just when you think they can't possibly say something more hypocritical or dripping with lies, they run out and top themselves.

11. We carpet bomb Afghanistan, who had NOTHING to do with 9-11 for 10
months, and now we can't go after OBL because of our respect for sovereignty???

These people are so insane!!! They can't admit that they have known he's dead since 12/2001, since they made bogus tapes after his death for their political purposes. It wouldn't go over well to know that he was dead before the "confession" tape came out...or this last little fake tape prior to the fake election 2004.

we need to invade Iran.

Watch and wait. They've already hinted that Bin Laden was in Iran. Soon they'll have "proof" and away we go.

13. The most astonishing thing is the straight up reporting
There isn't the vaguest hint of irony or satire in this report, no indication whatsoever that Goss is saying something so delusional and so at odds with the criminal conduct of the corrupt Bush administration. It's like watching the Godfather Part II with Michael Corleone vowing in church at the baptism that he renounces Satan and all his works, intercut with the scenes of his muscle boys rubbing out every other gangster who opposes him.

The folks at Time don't mind having people lie right to their faces.

We invade and country that we think might have weapons that they might use on us, but we can't get OBL who has planned and completed attacks on the USA. He continues to plan and speak out against the USA. Can't touch OBL, but Sadam and Iraq we can bomb and occupy!

17. Bush himself doesn't know what "sovereign" means...
Speaking at the Unity: Journalists of Color convention in Washington, D.C., last Friday, President Bush, responding to a question about what tribal sovereignty meant in the 21st century, said: "Tribal sovereignty means just that; it's sovereign. You're a -- you've been given sovereignty, and you're viewed as a sovereign entity."

To many Native Americans -- and Democrats, alike -- the president's answer spoke volumes about what they see as his ignorance of Indian issues. And to many, the operative word in Bush's response was the verb "given."
