A Recent Solicitation From AIPAC, Check List Included

I received a solicitation for AIPAC in the mail today on
behalf of my 92 year old Mom(I'm her guardian) and was
appalled at its basis for its request.  I know of its present
liason with Mr. Franklin(FBI) and ultra-conservative bent, but
it is quite stark in black and white:

"My dear fellow American,
I'm going to make three statements-no more, no less.
If, after reading them, you find that you don't agree with
these statements wholeheartedlyl-I'll be the first person to
encourage you to throw this letter away!

                 Statement No. 1:
The existence, safety, and prosperity of Israel are of crucial
interest to the United States.
                 Statement No. 2:
Without unfailing U.S. support, Israel simply cannot survive.
                 Statement No. 3:
While the support of Israel is natural and in the best
interests of the United States, not everyone thinks that
way."

I, disagreeing, did throw the letter away(with my Mom's
permission).  The bellicose underpinning and continual
yearning for militarism just goes against my grain.  This
group has a lot of money and the influence in government it
buys.  I once reviewed their political contributions.  To me
this is like pouring gasoline on a fire.

1. I agree with #2 but #1 re "crucial interest" and #3 "best interests" need

more qualification. Even if I were to accept all three, that is no justification to donate to AIPAC.

An easier and cheaper method of support is to mail my congressperson and senators and express my precise views on the extent of support for Israel.
