Would the little monkey be able to appoint bolton by recess appt
if the Senate went ahead and voted him down? Isn't there any way to stop these evil fuckers for putting bolton in charge of the UN?

1. Is it written into law that Congress MUST adjourn periodically?
Seems if they can hold unorthodox Schiavo meetings during a religious holiday late at night, it would not be that hard to have a single Dem remain in that lonely Senate chamber and catch up on some reading.

2. But they won't
They all want their little holiday. Plus, wouldn't the party in charge have to call for the senate to meet? I doubt if they would. You know, the pukes.

3. Yeah, but, who's in charge?
They'll adjourn and recess whether it follows the rules, or not....

I suppose the serious Democrats could filibuster that adjournment, but, Frist would probably pull a Sensenbrenner and simply shut things down, if it came to that. *sigh*

4. I understand that, but thats not what I asked
If the Senate were to go ahead and vote and vote him down? Would the admin still be able to overide the Senates decision and appoint by recess?

5. Yes, I think so
but completely ignoring the will of the Senate would carry a large political and practical price.
