The UN missed a great chance to arrest a war criminal today.

Under the principle that the land and buildings of the embassy of a country is actually their territory, no matter if it is withing the US, I believe the same is applied to the land and buildings of the UN.

Using that principle, could not the UN have arrested bush if he was wanted in another country for war crimes? And it would not be difficult to find a country that would charge him with it.

1. Pick a problem
What country would that be? The nation of the UN? Who are their citizens? Where is their army?

Which takes me to the next point. The quick result of your plan would have been to see a gun battle between Secret Service and UN security. Followed by the storming of the UN by American troops and the arrest and conviction of all involved.

2. You wanted a WWIII?
Because all nations involved would have recieved a nuclear fruit basket thanking them for their actions had they done what you suggest.

4. I saw the humor in your post

I know you didn't mean it literally.

Maybe someday we can arrest him. Geez, how has Kissinger still not been arrested?

8. I agree.
We need to bring these war criminals to justice for our reputation and to insure the image and strength and confederation of the United Nations. They are the ONLY organization with any clout that stands against war crimes and is taked with prosecuting those who commit them.
