Taft Signs Ohio's Breastfeeding Bill
Taft Signs Ohio's Breastfeeding Bill

Tuesday, Ohio became the 35th state to allow women to breast-feed in public.

Governor Taft signed a law creating a specific right to nurse anywhere a woman is allowed to enter. It takes effect in 90 days.

Some states only exempt nursing from indecency laws, and some take both approaches.

Similar bills creating a public right in four other states were defeated or died this year when the legislatures adjourned. Only ten states have no law somehow promoting breast-feeding.

1. Sad statement that we need a law allowing a woman to feed her child....

in the way that nature intended. Breasts were not meant to be a man's plaything, they serve (no pun intended) a biological purpose.

6. Some things are multi purpose.
Babies have to get made first.

2. Thank you, Ohio
It's a sad day when this law is necessary, but necessary it is.

3. Why do women need a law??
Did they have a law to breast feed in the ancient days in Rome and all that to feed their babies in public? This is so ridiculous. If you're turned off by life just don't look!

5. There should be a law against being offended by breast feeding.
If you call a cop because someone is breast feeding, the cop shows up and fines the offended person for being an idiot. I think thats a much better idea.
