I just saw a very powerful piece of p.r. for a message I think very worthwhile, posted here on DU, but I was distracted by a repeated, basic grammatical error. I know these things may seem trivial to some, but I also believe that the impact of a message can be undermined if expressed in a manner that others might see as "ignorant".

I'm no Shakespeare, but I've won writing awards etc. and would be more than happy to proof for basic grammar and the like.

Many of you put a lot of talent and hard work into expressions re- issues I care about, and I certainly wouldn't want to see those efforts discounted because of errors I could correct in 60 seconds.

I've not yet gone through the process of arranging for direct e-mails here (in fact, DU is the first forum I've ever joined), but if any of you are interested, let me know and I'll figure it out.
