BO: Why would I bother? I corrected the record as soon as this man made his defamatory charges, everything he said about me is bull, um, we can prove it, we have transcripts and everything else, but...

BO: Absolutely, but I don't address any of this in my book. I won't address it.

LA: What he was attacking was Brit Hume.

BO: That's right.

LA: OK, Brit Hume is a lousy journalist.

BO: Well that's your opinion.

LA: When he is on TV, when he's discussing an Al Gore speech for instance, he'll leave out a whole sentence of what Al Gore said to make it fit what, the point he's trying to make.

BO: Well look. I've never seen evidence of that, alright, maybe it's true, I don't know it's true---(At this point I'm yelling into the phone, "You want evidence? I'll give you evidence!", but he's already turned me down by now.)--- Even if you feel that, you are entitled to your opinion, Andy, you're absolutly entitled to think that Brit Hume, or Bill O'Reilly or anybody is irresponsible, or a bad journalist. ---(Now I'm yelling, "Am I gonna get to talk? Bill, Can I say something?" Nothing.)--- you can call my program anytime you want and say that. And I respect your opinion, I don't have to agree with it. I respect it, however, once you start throwing around the "F" word...

Because when Bill yelled "Shut up!" at him, Franken kept talking, and Bill's producer couldn't turn the sound down on him. Then Al reminded Bill that their conversation wasn't Bill's show and he wouldn't shut up just because Bill told him to.

11. Hats off to you for getting on

both of those shows (Rush and O'Reilly), takes quite an effort. I have gotten on a few smaller COnservative talk shows (Les Kinsolving and Tom Marr). Marr was polite towards the end of the conversation but cut me off repeatedly and screamed when I said the French bashing was out of hand. Of course he didn't refute anything I said with logic, just asked me if I was French.

Anyways hats off for giving O'Reilly a tough time.
