The GALL of the Republican Party...
To criticize Democrats for being unpatriotic and saying things that might "harm" our troops, when they are responsible for the lies and deceit and the torture and murder of tens of thousands of innocent people in war that was not necessary. How can they look at their ugly faces in the mirror? They are a disgrace to America. They are not Christians. They are an insult to Christians. They have put their Party above their country and the truth. People are dying daily because of their actions. They have a lot of gall.

1. If it weren't so sad it would be funny to hear that what democrats are
saying will 'harm' our troops. I almost have to laugh because this is the party that's sending them to die.

2. That's the basic strategy of the big lie
the bigger and more bald face the lie is the more likely people are to believe it (at least a certain percentage). It really does work sadly. After all if it's so outlandish that it's almost unbelievable and an official is saying it, then it must be true!

3. "Lord Almighty"
Edited on Tue Jun-21-05 12:07 PM by oneold1-4u
Don't go around talking about, or admitting you might be christian! Get in a closet to pray, and let the idiot false churches and religions drown in their own feces! The quagmire, they are creating for all the presumed outsiders, will be a tsunami of their own!

That might be good for a cartoon or symbol: A huge wave full of bigot xtians beneath a republican banner racing towards the shores of the US! This above "Don't even go near their shores!"

6. Which does more harm to the troops
voicing opposition to a war,

or,

sending the troops off to be targets of terrorists (and screaming about a candidate who first voted for, then against a blank check presented as "supplying necessary armor to our fighting men and women" - and then not delivering on the promise of properly supplying the armor that they criticized the candidate for "blocking")??

8. let them speak
and watch their poll numbers plummet even further. I've sort of taken heart by the last several polls that show the American people are totally fed up and not buying into their crap anymore.

Let them have their tantrums. The grown-ups will figure a way out of this mess.

If you hurt someone too much with the flag in your hand they will simply claim you are too zealous.

16. Lynn Woolsey gave 'em what for today
On the floor of the House, Lynn Woolsey gave a special speech that expressed outrage at the rethugs demanding an apology for any who has a dissenting view point( I came in the room after she had begun her remarks, but it sure sounded like she was specifically talking about Durbin). She asked where was the apology for misleading the country into war. She ended by calling for bringing home the troops. It was an outstanding speech, I haven't found a transcript yet, but it speaks much of your same sentiment.
