What is in those documents?

What exactly is in the Bolton documents that they don't want to give it up? Why would they sacrifice Bolton over paperwork? That's what I want to know.

1. It may be something related to the DSM.

Bolton has been involved in practically all of *'s dirty deeds starting with signing the PNAC letter and going to Florida to "stop the counting.

4. And the Dems

should use that. That's exactly what they should be asking the media. Something like,"What we should be asking ourselves is what is in those documents that the White House refuses to give us after repeated requests?" Then let the media run with that. (Of course, if they can get off their lazy asses) That should be the response to any of the Rep. arguments of "Playing politics..."

Of course, we could always really DU this thing up. Like any of us bloggers, or any other message boards you belong to, post the question--"What are in those documents?" Just the seed of suspicion, planted everywhere we go. Anybody up for it?

7. remember how Cheney wouldn't reveal the members

of his Energy panel? I read somewhere (& I'll look for the link) that their were individuals on it who were surveying Iraq oil fields, etc, running up to war all the way back then. I agree the administration has unlimited hubris, but when they refuse to release something, I assume it is because it is also damning evidence.

Another instance, when Bush refused to officially "testify" before the 9/11 panel--didn't want to perjure himself officially. They have no qualms about bald-faced lies of course.

8. I have a feeling they connect Syria and certain people in the US

Administration and Corporations that have conducted business transactions which could be highly damanging....

9. The Dem Senators have 3 requests re: Bolton

There are 3 separate things Biden & Dodd have requested from the WH -

1. NSA intercepts and identities of U.S. officials redacted from the intercepts
(these are names of Americans Bolton spied on. The question is whether some of these are State Dept employees (Bolton's arena was international arms, why would he be spying on members of his own State Dept?)

2. material related to planned 2003 Syria WMD testimony by John Bolton (this could be evidence that he lied to Congress during his hearing)

3. information related to Matthew C. Freedman, a free-lance "management consultant" and lobbyist who worked part time and received a tax-payer funded, six-figure salary in Bolton's office (why would Bolton have on his staff someone who was actively working as a lobbyist during the time he was on staff at the State Dept?)

The WH has not explained their refusal to release any of this information. Perhaps there's something incriminating that they don't want out? Perhaps is a pure and simple power play, refusing to grant the Senate's request simply on the principle that they think that they have more power and are refusing to conceed anything to Congress. Perhaps they believe they can win in the end with a recess appointment. Perhaps they are happy to have the appointment stalled. It's all speculation though, because they haven't really said.

necessarily leaked Plame, more that Bolton's spying & bullying of intelligence gatherers is endemic of the wide-spread effort to intimidate the 'peons' in the CIA. Although it would be like Christmas & my birthday combined if it showed Bolton was actually the one to leak Plame!
