Media says Dems Blocked Bolton/What about White House Stonewalling?
The media once again gives only one side of the story. The headlines I've heard all day long is 'Senate Democrats Block Bolton Nomination for the Second Time'. What they fail to say is that the White House has refused information that would cause an up or down vote.

1. Isn't Voinovich (R-OH) contributing to the delay?
The Corporate Media conveniently leaves that little tidbit out as well.

2. Not just Voinovich...
DeWine, Hagel, McCain even(yes, I know...McCain.) Specter and of course Senator Chaffee have all sternly blocked and opposed the motion.

There was simply enough against Bolton to stop his nomination. White House whines and pouts with its rattle, but the truth is America decided that man should in no way be U.N. Ambassador. Then White House becomes bully and forces Frist to recall for yet another vote.

White House just doesn't get it: The world doesn't WANT a war with Iran, and they do not live in reality.

6. I think McCain has jumped ship...
http://www.cnn.com/2005/POLITICS/06/14/bolton.nomination/

"I think it is very important that the United States is represented at the United Nations," he said. "I believe that John Bolton has proven his credentials. I also believe the president should be allowed to appoint his own team in a position as important as U.N. ambassador."

http://mccain.senate.gov/index.cfm?fuseaction=Newscenter.ViewPressRelease&Content_id=1557

"Mr. President, the Foreign Relations Committee has spent weeks investigating Mr. Bolton's background. In his recent report on behalf of the committee majority, Senator Lugar determined that "the end result of all this is that Secretary Bolton emerged looking better than when it began." Chairman Lugar ultimately concluded that Mr. Bolton "is a highly qualified nominee," and I agree. Let's move forward expeditiously to confirm John Bolton as America's ambassador to the United Nations."

I've spoken to many Americans who aren't even aware of the Downing Street Minutes, let alone war in Iran. I think they're in for a rude awakening. And I'll be there saying "I told you so".
