Could be an interesting summer in Canada

OTTAWA - The Liberal government says it will use all possible procedural means to debate same-sex marriage legislation before the summer parliamentary break.
Liberal House Leader Tony Valeri says if his government is defeated on its motion to extend the parliamentary session, he will ask the House of Commons Speaker to intervene.
Valeri says he's told the House leaders of the other parties he would set aside the next three weeks for debate on the same-sex bill.
The Commons is scheduled to rise for the summer this Thursday.
The Bloc Quebecois supports same-sex marriage but says it won't support the motion to extend the session unless it gets a guarantee in writing that the bill will come to a vote.
