A plea to the democratic leadership |
|
Okay, so we don't always agree. We don't agree about the war. You guys should've voted against it, but that's okay. We don't agree about gay marriage. There are lots of things we don't see eye to eye on. The democrats have a much larger tent and are more open to diversity than the republicans will ever be.
But when one of our own is openly attacked and maligned where is the leadership? Do they stand by their friend and ally? No, they hide. The democratic leadership runs and hides for fear of losing a few votes. The loyalty goes out the window and those who don't deserve it are left blowing in the wind and open to unfair attacks.
It's no wonder the democratic leadership is so weak and wins nothing. Very few democrats came out on the DSM. Few came out when the bush administration lies and continues to do so.
Where are you at? I watch TV, I read papers, check the internet. All I hear is Dean. He's the only one with no fear. Even though I don't always agree with him at least he's got the guts to stand up to the media and to the republicans.
We need our democratic leadership to step up and fight back. The republicans aren't fighting for us...why aren't you?

1. The democratic leadership is anything but democratic..... |
|
In the view of many. They care for nothing but corporate contributions and not stepping on anyone's toes.....I suggest new leadership is needed. Howard Dean type leadership.
