Dick Durbin apologized today. |
|
When are the Republicans going to apologize for condoning the murdering of judges?

They always appologize..even when they didn't really do anything wrong. They should take a cue from the republicans who never appologize for ANYTHING.

why become what you dislike about someone? who wins then????
imitation IS the sincerest form of flattery- and the really 'spineless' way out of a situration. Humility is a very under-rated virtue- but is the hallmark of a truly great leader.

7. Right now the only people winning |
|
are the Republicans. But, anyway, apologizing is saying you did something wrong...did Durbin do something wrong?

2. When the Democrats start demanding it. |
|
That's a huge part of the problem we are facing - the Dems REFUSE to hold the Repugs accountable for their divisive actions and hateful rhetoric.

4. Apology details please. Sad to see durbin do that |
|
really.
he did so well at first.
Absolutely no reason for any apology. For revealing the abuse, he deserves an award.. along the lines of a reporting Pulitzer for getting a hidden story out.

his site- and if you read it- (please do) you'll only respect him all the more i believe-
His apology was NOT about the 'tactics' used- but towards those who lived through the Nazi regimes, and Stalin times, and to make sure that the soldiers who were 'serving' in Gitmo and thier families were not hurt by his remarks-
He didn't apologize for our 'policies' or for the 'talking heads' that are making Gitmo exist-
he also said: “Some may believe that my remarks crossed a line. To them, I extend my heartfelt apologies.”
“There's usually a quote from Abraham Lincoln that you can turn to in moments like this. Maybe this is the right one. Lincoln said, ‘If the end brings me out right, what is said against me won't amount to anything. If the end brings me out wrong, 10,000 angels swearing I was right wouldn't make any difference.’”
