Iran-India-Pakistan Gas Pipeline Decision In Two Weeks - Tehran Times
Ah... now it all makes sense!

<snip>

KUALA LUMPUR (Pakistan Link) — A decision on the multibillion-dollar pipeline between Iran and India that will run across Pakistan will be made in two weeks, an Iranian official said on Monday.

"We will make an announcement in two weeks," Reza Amrollahi, Iran's senior deputy energy minister told reporters on the sidelines of the two-day Asia Oil and Gas conference.

Amrollahi said that Iran was willing to sell gas to India and Pakistan and that talks were progressing. "We are in the pit field of decision-making," he said.

The 2,600-kilometer (1,600-mile) overland gas pipeline project, with an estimated cost of about $4.5 billion, has been strongly opposed by the United States because of its concerns about Tehran's nuclear program.

1. Of course
What else would be the reason? Oh and the picture of the guy in Iraq whenever I see that it always makes me so sad cause he's about the same age as my grandfather. :( I wonder if he's still a live. :(

BTW, that's a great graphic of one of our brave, young soldiers. It always gets me. There is something poignant about seeing a man who probably yearns for his recliner working to make the world safe for corporate crime.
